Goodbye Lily
By
Today we lost our beloved golden retriever, Lily. Lily was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago and today we had to put her to sleep. She loved going to Parramos and hanging out and I wish she had more time to enjoy the the land. The people closest to her, Gaby, Daisy, Sonia, Santos and Gerson and me were all present when they vet put her to sleep. Lily now has her permanent home under a big avocado tree at the children’s village. We love you Lily and will miss you so much.

Oh, I just read this and my heart is broken! We got to know Lily during our first adoption in 2005. She was such a beautiful pup with the sweetest personality! I remember her always playing with the kids, or just hanging out very close to them. When we brought our daughter home in 2005, she began calling one of our cats Lily, even though her name was/ is Angelina. To this day, we all call our kitty “Lily”. My husband and I knew that Blanca must have loved your Lily so much that she wanted a “Lily” of her own. I am so sorry for your loss.

Nancy, I am so sorry to hear about Lily. My son too called our dog (Kona) “Lily” for his first several weeks home. Lily was such a good natured and beautiful dog — my condolences to all of you.

I am so SORRY to hear about Lily. She was so beautiful and loving. I remember on our visit trip that I was so happy that John was living with such a great dog. I knew that when he came home, he would be comfortable with our big black lab! In fact, his first word was “dog”! I am so sorry for your loss.
