Beautiful Babies

By Nancy

When I come to Parramos I really should be locked in my office or I just can’t work. I find hanging out with the kids so much more fun.

Today I was with the toddler age kids and had to get their photos. I have watched most of these children grow up from from birth until now. Most of the children should be home with their adoptive parents. We have 15 kids that don’t have families and may never have families. They are perfect, beautiful little people. They will always have a place with us. So many unknowns.

What I do know is that the children love being outdoors, love playing in the dirt and running free.

I thought you would enjoy these photos.

Rosalia, I am sorry to say that Guatemala has closed adoptions. There have been no indications as to when adoptions will re-open. Nancy

Hello Kristin, Semillas de Amor is not affiliated with Semillas de Amor Student Center. I am not aware of their work but I assume the organization would be thrilled to have you meet the child you are supporting. Enjoy your visit to Guatemala! Nancy

Hello Nancy. I really admire your strengh to keep all the kids safe, secure, and happy through everything that is happening with the Guatemalan adoption. The children are precious! I keep checking back hoping for some good news on the adoption status. We have a toddler boy, and would love to make one of your precious little boys our second son! I have not lost hope that we’ll be able to contact you soon to start the process! Thank you for caring so much for these angels!

Thank you for your interest in Semillas de Amor. I am very sorry to say that Guatemala closed its international adoption program over a year ago. The adoption program is undergoing a huge change and nobody is sure how long that will take. Sadly, this leaves many kids stuck in institutions that would have been adopted. At Semillas de Amor we have 34 children, 22 have adoptive families that are in process, under the old adoption law, and 15 do not have families but are not eligible to be adopted. If you like you can continue to read our blog and I will post when and if international adoptions open again in Guatemala.

Thank you,

Nancy
