I am very sorry to say that Guatemala closed its international adoption program over a year ago. The adoption program is undergoing a huge change and nobody is sure how long that will take. Sadly, this leaves many kids stuck in institutions that would have been adopted. At Semillas de Amor we have 34 children, 22 have adoptive families that are in process, under the old adoption law, and 15 do not have families but are not eligible to be adopted.
