Electricity just in time for Santa to find Semillas de Amor
ByWithout any fanfare or major announcement, I think we were in shock, we are now connected to electricity. This only took us several years of meetings, phone calls, signatures, more meetings, more signatures, more phone calls and just simply bugging people and a whole lot of patience. After a Saturday connection we came to work on Monday and acted as though we had no electricity. No lights, no running water and then it hit us we could plug in the refrigerator, microwave, flush the toilet, turn on the lights. What a luxury. Needless to say we would love to go all solar but the initial investment is too much so we will do that little by little and hopefully one day sell the electric company back our electricity.
The kids continue their radio interviews, more about that next week. It has been so much fun to listen to them on the radio. Hearing their voices always brings me to tears. Today Alvaro was a huge hit, he sang Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in perfect English on the air! I was in tears as I drove to the children’s home listening to the kids.
We are working hard on donations for Christmas for the kids. Please if you would like to help support the Christmas party and dinner we really appreciate your generosity. Just click DONATE.
