La Taltuza

By

We often get some strange looking visitors (humans not included) at the children’s village and we have a strict no kill policy.  We have had large snakes, bats, loads of insects, birds and our belief is to teach the kids kindness and compassion for all living things But then la taltuza came to visit and has been eating all of our plants, cuts them off at the roots and then all of the care and years of growing, gone, the plant is dead. So it was quite the challenge, when our gardener smoked out la taltuza, not to murder it right then and there for all of our beautiful plants it had destroyed. We found a better solution, we re-homed la taltuza to a neighboring, non-working coffee farm where I am sure he/she will be happy.

Enjoy the photos of this interesting creature. Our kids really enjoyed la taltuza as did the adults. We are hoping he/she stays put on the neighbor’s coffee farm because a return to Semillas de Amor could test my kindness and compassion toward all living things.
