…and now there is light!
Posted by: | CommentsA huge thank you to the Helen Bader Foundation for their generous grant that allowed us to purchase five solar street lamps and posts. We purchased the solar lights a few years ago and had a very difficult time finding the right people to install them for us. The Guatemala 2012 Wisconsin Work Team just happened to be the right group. With lots of labor, sweat, frayed nerves the solar lights went up. These lamps are on all night and provide us with much needed security. Because they are solar we don’t run up an already expensive electric bill. Solar is beautiful! Thank you so much to the Helen Bader Foundation and our Guatemala 2012 Wisconsin Work team, both groups, by the way, are from Wisconsin!

Posted by: | CommentsSemillas de Amor has an uprising on our hands! The little ones have outgrown their cribs, they have been in them since birth, and some of the kids are 5 years old. They have demanded beds and like any good mama I am helping them to get beds. However, unlike most moms I need to find 16 beds, not just one or two so we really need your help.
