A Visit from Carlos Peña

In October, 2011 at our fundraiser in Northern California we were fortunate enough to have Latin American Idol Winner, and Guatemalan, Carlos Peña sing for us. We have come full circle and this Christmas, while Carlos was home visiting his family in Guatemala, he came to visit Semillas de Amor and sing with our kids. As you can see it was quite a treat for all of us and our kids were so excited to show Carlos every inch of the children’s home.

Semillas de Amor Celebrates a Very Merry Christmas!

Christmas planning for Semillas de Amor starts early. With 25 children to buy gifts for, sponsors sending gifts, Secret Santa, building the nacimiento, decorating, planning the meal and lots of singing practice, the list is endless. However, it is a very exciting time for everyone and a time when we have a chance to reflect on the year and appreciate one another.
Change a Child’s Life a Gift at a Time!

There are always people on your Christmas list that have everything, are impossible to buy for and just don’t need or want one more thing. Make it easy on yourself and make a difference in the world, at the same time, and donate to Semillas de Amor in honor of that special person. You can make a donation at http://www.semillasdeamor.org/ and a few days before Christmas we will send out a Christmas card via email, with the Semillas kids’ photos on it and a note from us. This card is only an example. We only need to have you mention on your donation that this is for a Christmas card, the person’s name and their email address and who the card is from. We hope you will shop with us this year. If you would prefer a Christmas card via snail mail please make your donation before December 15th and make sure you send us the person’s name and mailing address and who the donation is from.
