Our Mission

Semillas de Amor Children’s Village provides a high level education program for Guatemala’s at risk children and a home for children with exceptional circumstances.

General Donations

You can be a life saver for our children's village. As many of you know, Semillas de Amor used to be a self-sustaining home where children would live for a relatively short time before being adopted. However, as adoptions have halted, the funding strategy for the home needs to shift as well. We are no longer a temporary shelter for many of our kids. Instead, Semillas de Amor has become a permanent home where many kids will grow up. That means we need to provide a better educational curriculum with skilled teachers, more supplies for growing kids, and extensive social and psychological support.

$50.00 — $500.00

There are many ways you can support our kids:

1. Sponsor a Child for a Month: $200
This includes 24//7 care by child development specialists, nutritious food, shelter, clothing, medical attention, educational materials, and social skills training from personal hygiene and self-care to cooperating well in groups.

2. Sponsor a Teacher for a Month: $500
This will fund a full time high quality teacher from the extraordinary teaching training organization, “Planting Seeds.” These teachers are uniquely prepared to guide the lives of our kids.

3. Sponsor Life Enrichment for a Month: $50
We recognize that not all education happens in the classroom. This will fund life experiences such as equine therapy, music classes, and field trips that are essential to develop a child into a well rounded adult.
