The Semillas de Amor Fundraiser: A Celebration of Family & Friends

We will have a silent auction so if you have something you would like to donate, for the auction, please feel free to send me an email, nancy@semillasdeamor.org, so we can make arrangements. You don’t have to live in the San Francisco Bay Area to participate in the fund raiser.
Everyone at Semillas de Amor is very excited about our fundraiser and it gives up hope that we can continue our children’s home and grow our school in 2011.

Ana shares her birthday with the kids at Semillas de Amor

Ana use to live at Semillas de Amor, and then several years ago she was adopted and now lives with her forever family. Ana turned 11 this year and wanted to celebrate her birthday, requesting that all birthday guests bring pajamas for the kids at Semillas de Amor, rather than birthday gifts for her. “A Visit to the Children’s Museum and Pizza Hut”

All 32 kids at Semillas de Amor were treated to a wonderful day at the Children’s Museum in Guatemala City and lunch at Pizza Hut last Friday. Our sponsors were the Gardener Family and Gracie P., from Massachusetts. Gracie celebrated her 11th birthday by asking for donations to Semillas de Amor for a field trip for the kids rather than gifts for herself. Thank you to both of our thoughtful donors and to Amy at Sonrisa International for facilitating Gracie’s donation. Our children had an amazing time.
